'&' PROJECT
The ‘&’ project was created to raise funds for the international medical humanitarian‑aid organisation, Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF). MSF is an independent, non‑government organisation, providing medical care where it is needed most – in armed conflicts, epidemics, famines and natural disasters – regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. To know that there is an organisation that is committed to reaching these areas to help those most in need is very humbling.
As an ardent supporter of the crucial, lifesaving work of MSF I feel that we, as an affluent community, could do a lot more to see to it that the not‑so‑fortunate individuals affected across the globe are looked after.
All the artists and technicians on this CD generously donated their time and talent to the project so that all proceeds from the cd sales can go to MSF. Complementing the work of the musicians is Laurie Sinagra, an award‑winning sound engineer, Elle Deslandes who created the CD artwork, Joe Marrable of Hawkeye Editing Services and DiskBank which pressed and printed the CDs – all of whom also donated their services.
The first CD in a planned series features my duets with the remarkable vocal talents of Libby Hammer, Victoria Newton, Allira Wilson and Elle Deslandes.
